"The Yandere" is a live theatrical play (rated PG-13) that is an original adaptation of the story about Peter Pan that focuses on Tinkerbell's more devious and unstable attributes.

 

It consists of a one talented actress performing over nine different characters (with 14 different costume changes) alongside only one stage manager performing over 143 mechanical actions, 115 sound cues, all while assisting with costume changes. The play includes shooting cannons, floating characters coming down from the ceiling, and FRIGHTENING audience interaction.

 

Tickets are FREE or for any donation at your discretion to help Saoirse put on future shows.

 

Rated PG13 for Basin Park showings / Rated R for The Library Bookend showings / TRIGGER WARNING! Santa doesn't survive the December showings!

Saoirse Murtair starring in "The Yandere"

Saoirse Murtair, the starring actress, has had roles in local Eureka Springs productions as Cruella de Vil in 101 Dalmatians, the Genie in Aladdin, and Ado Annie in Oklahoma. She has also had roles with the Eureka Springs Theatre Company as Cobweb in Shakespeare's A Mid Summer Night's Dream, along with a roles in Melonlight Theatre's annual Zombie Flash and New Year's Flash, both at Basin Spring Park. In addition, Saoirse has completed over 25 showings of "The Yandere" at Mainstage Theatre in Eureka Springs.

 

Saoirse very uniquely grew up and lived on a tall ship in the Pacific for nine years. She sailed over 7,500 nautical miles before the age of 10. During the play, the production team will share some of her stories of adventure on the high seas.

 

The production of the Yandere is Saoirse's acting resume and is intended to travel from city to city beginning in 2027.

 

Saoirse's father, Ace Murtair, built "The Yandere" theatrical set, along with writing, directing, and producing the play. He also performs all mechanical, lighting, sound, and costume changing functions during the performance.
