Description

Dear Friends,

The past several weeks has been trying for our nation and our communities – the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world we live in, at least for the time being.
As a consequence of the shutdown in Washington State and the region, the BWBG Board of Directors has decided to postpone the Blue Waters Bluegrass Festival to August 13-15, 2021. Our sense is that even if the situation begins to improve over the next couple months, large gatherings of people from a broad region that has seen significant impacts from the virus, would be ill advised and potentially endanger festival attendees. If you purchased tickets for the 2020 festival, we have started the process to refund your purchase. You should be seeing the refund in the coming days.

We sincerely hope you all are in a favorable position to weather the current situation and are staying healthy. We want you to know, we value our bluegrass community and know it will continue into the future. We are doing our best to look past the current status quo and remain optimistic for 2021 as nearly all the bands have agreed to join us on August 13-15, 2021 for our festival. Please understand, we do really view this as a postponement, rather than cancellation. We hope you will consider attending the 2021 festival, and we will be in touch in early 2021 as things unfold.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are all looking forward to serving this wonderful community for years to come. We look forward to sharing music with you again and appreciate your continued support!
Thank you again!

Stay safe,
Nick Burgis
Festival President
