COACHING WITH THEATRICAL AGENTS

3 CLASS SERIES starting Wed March 13

Elevate your career by studying with top industry insider

Elevate your career and sharpen your audition skills by working directly with shakers responsible for booking talent into Broadway’s biggest shows, and gain insight on what Agents are looking for when seeking new clients.

• Class One: You will workshop your audition materials with talent agent Mikey Nagy from THE COLLECTIVE TALENT AGENCY
• Class Two: You will workshop your audition materials with talent agent Dustin Flores from DANIEL HOFF AGENCY
• Class Three:  You will workshop your audition materials with talent agent Craig Holzberg from AVALON ARTISTS

Class will begin each week at 7pm and each student will work one-on-one with the instructor on cuts of audition songs or monologues in a classroom setting. Each class will also include a short Q&A, information on the intricacies of the casting process and insight on what the auditioner can do to stand out.

All classes begin at 7pm at Open Jar Studios, 1601 Broadway, 11th Floor

 

Under the direction of Artistic Director, Jeff Whiting, Open Jar’s Professional Class Series provides unique opportunities for performers to continue to hone their skills and work one-on-one with Broadway’s best stars, directors, composers,  agents, and casting directors.

Bios:

Mikey Nagy is the owner at one of NYC’s newest boutique agencies – The Collective. Since he started working in the agenting world in 2011, he decided to take a leap of faith during the pandemic to start his own office in September 2021. Adding to the team is longtime friend and agent, B. Lynne Jebens.

At The Collective, clients are represented for film, television, and theatre while “existing outside the box”.

Mikey holds a BFA in Musical Theatre and a Minor in Piano from Shenandoah Conservatory. 

 

Dustin Flores grew up as a performer and attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NY. He served as the agency director for The Mine Talent Agency for ten years, overseeing their offices in NY and LA, before joining the team at the Daniel Hoff Agency in 2021. As one of the most sought-after agents, his clients book competitively in television, film and theatre.

Craig Holzberg has been an agent for 23 years and the owner of Avalon Artists Group for 18 years. Avalon Artists Group is a full-service talent agency representing actors across the United S+tates with offices located in Los Angeles and New York and representatives in Chicago, Atlanta, and Miami. They offer representation in Film, TV, Theatre, Commercials, Voice-Over, Print, Industrials and Hosting. Established in 2005, Avalon Artists Group prides itself on offering hands-on, personalized attention and guidance to all of their clients.
