Join the Reverend Bill's singing school students and some surprise guests in a packed evening in 1850's Salem as they explore the history of Christmas traditions.. After the arrival of abolitionist Charlotte Forten, they also learn about the anti-slavery practices forming around Christmas in New England. What unfolds is an exploration of cheer, tradition, freedom, and community.

History Alive, Inc. is an immersive historically-themed theater company from Salem, Massachusetts. We are committed to the production of new plays and theatrical scenarios based on true stories from the past. Emphasis is given to interactive theatre so that actors and audience together, through a playful and dynamic way of engaging with history, might broaden their understanding of the present and gain a fresh sense of purpose within their own era.
