Description

Prepare yourself for the Post-Meridian Radio Players' 2026 Halloween show, Tomes of Terror: Sounds of Fear! This year, we'll be haunting the stage with three spooky shows:

Beyond the Wall of Sleep: From the mind of H.P. Lovecraft, a scientist attempts to use a dream machine to help a patient, only to break through the wall of sleep and into a realm of monsters. Adapted from the short story by H. P. Lovecraft by Ron N. Butler. Directed by Kitty Drexel.

Phantom Frequency: In this original tale, a man with a dubious past finds himself haunted by his victims through a source he cannot escape: his car radio. Written by William Cameron. Directed by Kristina Spinney.

The Monkey’s Paw: This classic spine-chiller tells the story of a family coming into possession of a Monkey's Paw, which grants wishes...but be careful what you wish for. Adapted from the short story by W. W. Jacobs by R. A. Pauli. Directed by Alex LaFreniere.

Thursday, October 29 is pay-what-you-wish, and our Halloween performance will feature a costume contest with prizes!

Post Meridian Radio players

Founded in 2005 and based in the Boston area, The Post-Meridian Radio Players are a group of actors, writers, FoleyFX artists, composers, sound designers and other interested people dedicated to the preservation of radio drama, and the development of audio theater, as unique art forms. They offer live performances and studio productions of both classic tales from the Golden Age of Radio and original works by new and experienced writers, with a special emphasis on science-fiction, fantasy, and horror.

PMRP is now (along with our sibling group Theatre@First) under the umbrella of the Massachusetts Community Theatre Corporation (MCTC, which we generally pronounce “Mitsy”), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
