Act for a Change presents "Too Close To The Sun"
Join us for an evening of theatre for charity, featuring five original one-act plays created and performed by local Atlanta artists.
All profits will be donated to the Davis Direction Foundation, a recovery community organization based in Marietta, GA that fights addiction and fuels recovery.
Produced locally by Act For A Change, Too Close To The Sun is a collection of five short plays inspired by the Myth of Icarus.
Featuring the works of Justin Lawson Isett, Megan Tabaque, Beanz Ramirez, Rachel Ruff Cuyler, and Dan Caffrey - this cycle explores themes of recklessness, ignorance, and the defiance of expectations set on us all, for better or worse, and the consequences that follow.
Too Close to The Sun suggests a viewer rating of 16+:
- Adult content such as violence, suicide, illegal activities, and drug use.
- Contains occasional adult language. Production may also contain some adult references not appropriate for children.
- May contain situations that are intense and frightening for children.
There will be a 15-minute intermission.
