Description

Some of the most powerful stories ever told are housed downtown at the Center for Jewish History — the largest archive of the modern Jewish experience outside of Israel.

The Membership Committee of Stephen Wise Free Synagogue invites members and their guests for a docent-led tour, where we'll take in three remarkable exhibits: Hidden in Plain Sight, exploring the secret photo album of Theresienstadt; Jews Are Magic, a captivating look at the occult practices — amulets, incantations, evil eyes and dybbuks — that lived alongside official Jewish religion for centuries; and The Jack Kirby Way, a tribute to the comic book pioneer who helped define American pop culture.

Admission to the museum is $6.

Afterwards, we're heading to The Best Sichuan 21, about ten minutes from the museum, for Chinese food and good conversation.

Please indicate during registration if you plan to attend dinner and bring $25 cash to cover the meal.
