Description
Every year, Arts Gowanus asks artists to take an 11x17" water tower template – depicting the water tower that serves as their logo — and make it their own. The results are always creative and varied! Past artists have used glass, tiles, fabric, found materials, quilting, interactive picture books, and more — check out this Brooklyn Paper article from last year's show for some serious inspo.
Coil & Cord is excited to take part in this tradition by making our own collaborative tower together — and we want you in on it.
Come with your ideas, your skills, and your supplies (but hold them loosely — this is a collaborative project). We'll brainstorm together make something that feels distinctly, unmistakably us. The only rule from Arts Gowanus: the finished piece has to fit within an 11x17" frame. Everything else is fair game.
