The Depot, located in the historic Santa Fe Train Depot, is an arts organization and event venue. It produces the Summer Breeze Concert Series, The Depot Gallery, Depot Concerts, Depot TV, and serves as the venue for community gatherings, workshops, and events. Description
Travis Linville, Oklahoma native singer/songwriter, has gained much critical acclaim throughout his 30 year career in music. His musicianship started in his grandfather’s living room, and growing up he became an avid player of guitar as well as many other stringed instruments. He has since build a career as a solo artist, side-man, session player, and songwriter.
Travis has worked with and among many acclaimed artists including J.D. McPherson, Hayes Carll, Samantha Crain, and even country music legend Marty Stuart. Hayes Carll once said of Travis that he is “one of those rare artists that seems to be gifted at everything. His playing and singing seems to be just as natural as breathing to him.”
Linville’s most recent album, I’m Still Here, brings the specific sophistication and honesty that has always been a hallmark of his song writing to another level. JD McPherson produced the album and some songs are co-written with Natalie Hemby of The Highwomen. Rolling Stone Country described his writing as “songs that resonate with uncomplicated authenticity”. In the room with him, they are also songs that you feel to your core.
