Description
In 1844 Sam Houston wrote that members of the Shawnee and Delaware tribes gathered near Fanthorp to exchange pelts and goods. Stop by the inn this weekend as we host members of ancestral tribes to share their history, culture, and ties to the land.
Join us for a special stagecoach day at the Fanthorp Inn on March 28 from 11am to 3pm! Purchase your tickets now to hop aboard our replica stagecoach for a ride up to the historic Grimes County Courthouse and back. Only 6 people will be allowed per time slot. An adult ticket holder must be present before children will be allowed to board the coach.
We encourage guests to arrive at the Fanthorp Inn at least 30 minutes prior to your boarding time. Once you arrive be sure to check in at the front porch and receive your souvenir stagecoach ticket then tour the home, walk the grounds, and enjoy the living history activities around the site. We’ll notify you when its time to board your coach for your grand tour of Anderson!
Timeslots are fixed and cannot be exchanged. Tickets are only refundable if the event is canceled.
By purchasing tickets, visitors agree to a release of liability form and media release form.
