Class dates: November 3, 10, 17, December 1, 8, 15.
This Beginner Wheel + Handbuilding class is suitable for anyone over age 18 who is interested in learning how to throw on the pottery wheel AND handbuild. Approximately half of the class will be spent handbuilding and half will be on the wheel.
Classes are every Tuesday from 10AM-12:30PM for 6 weeks, Includes 2.5 hours of hands-on instruction each week, use of community tools, clay, and 7 finished pieces* each. Keep additional pieces* for $10 each. (*7 inches tall or wide, whichever is larger).
About your teacher
Caroline has loved art as long as she can remember and still sends her artwork to her kindergarten art teacher. Mixed-media sculpture and clay have always been her forte. Caroline has worked with clay for 10 years now and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in ceramics in 2025. Although she still has traditional pottery and hand building in her wheel house, her favorite thing to work with is mold making and slip casting the human face and figure.
