Description

Come to KANEKO for this introspective yet communal experience.

Join Charles as he walks you through his newest exhibit, UNSEEN, then sit in the ocean of awareness during a guided meditation with Lora.

This ongoing meditation series is designed to build self-awareness through group interaction.  Each session seeks to heighten one's ability to access curiosity and creativity.  Each participant will engage in a practice composed to expand their field of attention through the exhibit via the sights and sounds that Charles has created.

Please bring your own mat, cushion or blanket.

This experience begins at 10 AM.  Please arrive 5-10 minutes before.

Free with a suggested donation in part benefiting the Refugee Empowerment Center.

Donations will be matched and given to Refugee Empowerment Center. The Refugee Empowerment Center is in need of hands-on volunteers.

Lora McCarville is a facilitator of spaces, a gatherer of community, a collaborative practitioner of the somatics and movements in a field sometimes referred to as cultural somatics, an emerging approach to embodiment that is directly connected to the relationship between individual and collective change.

Lora knows that from the micro to the macro, we create change in patterns to create change in structure.  Lora combines bottom up practices - by changing patterns in the oldest part of the brain - through the use of storytelling, polyvagal theory, psychoeducation of mindfulness practices and play.  Lora uses all of these in combination, so that we can tap into the well of being that resides inside each of us.

Special Thanks to Lora McCarville.
