Join us on Saturday, May 30th for our annual Bancroft Village Playhouse Gala...with a fresh new 2026 rebrand...our UP UP UP FUNDRAISING PARTY! This is our largest annual fundraiser, and the goal this year is to raise $20,000 to go towards our upcoming lift addition! The lift addition will make every level of our building more accessible than ever before, and open our doors to a whole host of new patrons, performers, and partners. With a significant initial contribution from the enabling accessibility fund, we have until September 1st to raise an additional $100,000.00 to make this project a reality! No black tie neccessary this year...grab your best plaid or your Canadian tuxedo, throw on your best boots, and start walking down to the Playhouse for an unforgettable night of food, music, and camaraderie, all in support of a great cause. Rub shoulders with some of your favourite Tweed & Company performers, enjoy special performances from musical guests, and then buckle up and sing loud with Canada's tribute to Shania Twain performed by Emma Reynolds (Wendy Darling in our recent production of HOOK!)! Your ticket price includes a passed cocktail dinner from the Granite restaurant and Bancroft Brew Pub, concert ticket (assigned seating), and one FREE drink of your choice on entry.
There's also going to be an incredibly exciting AUCTION. These will be BIG TICKET PRIZES - keep an eye out for the prize announcements coming soon! Once again this year, the auction will be posted ONLINE prior to the event, so everyone can get in on the fun.
As a registered Charity that consistently maintains one of the most affordable ticket prices in the country, the Village Playhouse and Tweed & Company Theatre rely on private donations, sponsorship, and events such as this to fund costs outside of productions and operations. Past Gala funds have made projects such as our new dressing rooms and washrooms, new theatre curtains, LED lighting fixtures, and more, a reality!
