Several of our members have contributed to the University of Tennessee Arboretum Endowment fund over the years. We have had questions from several of you about the best way to support the UT Arboretum financially. We have a special program on May 8 to give you information and ask questions.
Making a planned gift is a wonderful way to show your support and appreciation for the UT Arboretum and its mission while accommodating your own personal, financial, estate-planning, and philanthropic goals. With smart planning, you may actually increase the size of your estate and/or reduce the tax burden on your heirs. Just as important, you will know that you have made a meaningful contribution that benefits the UT Arboretum and its mission. You may always make donations or memorial gifts directly online at https://utarboretumsociety.org/join-or-donate/ , but for planned gifts or to plan estate giving we are offering an opportunity to meet in-person for an information and question session with Tom Looney, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Development representing the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture, and Woody Henderson, Assistant Vice President for Planned Giving, UT Foundation.
This meeting will be on Wednesday, May 8th at the UT Arboretum Auditorium from 1pm-3pm. Light refreshments will be served. Tom and Woody will give a presentation and be available to answer your questions. We will also have information packets to share which we can mail on request.
