The Richard Nixon Foundation, USA 250 Orange County, and Concordia University Irvine present a special concert in recognition of the 250th anniversary of the United States. Please join us in the elegant East Room at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library. Free Admission

XIANGDONG KONG (born 1968, Shanghai) is a renowned Chinese pianist and humanitarian. A prizewinner at the Tchaikovsky, Gina Bachauer, and Sydney International Piano Competitions, he studied at the Curtis Institute and was a featured child prodigy in From Mao to Mozart:Isaac Stern in China (1979). A 75th descendant of Confucius, he is celebrated for his electrifying performances worldwide.

The American soprano, EMILY VALENZUELA, is a former winner of the NATS-LA Musical Theatre competition, a VOCES8 US Scholar, and a premiere soloist including a recent appearance at Carnegie Hall with Concordia University.
