To celebrate the upcoming Olympic games, we're hosting our very own Ushaw Olympics which we want you to come and try out! Throughout July/August, we'll be hosting taster sessions of some of the sports which you'll see athletes competing in the Olympics.
On Thursday 28th July, join the Wabi Sabi Academy for an introductory session of the ancient South Korean martial art, Taekwondo.
Stick around in-between sessions, as the Wabi Sabi Academy will be performing demonstration sparring. Similar to what you can expect athletes to be taking part in at the Olympics!
Events are also drop-in, meaning if you turn up on the day you will be able to attend if we have any spaces available.
This class is suitable for ages 6+, and will take place on The Bounds Field.
Entry to Ushaw is included for Ushaw Annual Pass holders - proof of purchase will be required. Without an Annual Pass admission will apply for this event.
This event is supported by the Culture Recovery Fund for Heritage. The Culture Recovery Fund is being delivered by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and Historic England, using funds provided by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
