While the simplest of hand tools, the card scraper makes a world of difference in the preparation of hardwoods for finish. Learn to use it correctly, and what once took an hour of hand sanding might now only take 20 minutes! We will cover scraper preparation and correct use; as with all edge tools, correct sharpening, and in this case, hook creation, is the key. The class will also cover correct selection and use of the burnisher.

With 15 years experience as a professional furniture maker and a manager of an architectural woodworking shop, John is excited to share his skills and pass along his knowledge to the MTL community.
