Share OHMPAA, the Oxford Hills Music and Performing Arts Association, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the presentation of quality entertainment on a regular basis featuring the talents of local residents. On January 1, 2009, OHMPAA became a program of Norway Maine Opera House Corporation which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Most of our performances take place in the historic Norway Grange, and we are most grateful to the Grange members for allowing us to share their lovely building.
Description
In this Tony Award-winning comedy, middle-aged siblings Vanya and Sonia share a home in Bucks County, PA, where they bicker and complain about the circumstances of their lives. Suddenly, their movie-star sister, Masha, swoops in with her new boy toy, Spike. Old resentments flare up, eventually leading to threats to sell the house. Also on the scene are sassy maid Cassandra, who can predict the future, and a young aspiring actress named Nina, whose prettiness somewhat worries the imperious Masha.
