The Brighton & Hove Food Partnership's Community Kitchen is a cookery school where everyone can cook, learn new skills and enjoy food with others. We want everyone to experience the benefits of cooking and eating together. By paying for a cookery class, you help other people to attend cookery activities, regardless of finance, confidence or ability, and to make lasting changes to their lives.
Divine goodies await you at the end of this class, where you will learn innovative techniques for tasty treats made without dairy and eggs.
In this baking workshop, you will learn how to make:
- Perfectly flaky vegan shortcrust pastry
- Swedish-style melt in the mouth cardamom biscuits
- No-egg lemon curd tarts
- Savoury tarts served with winter slaw as a light tea during the session
Each of these recipes will demonstrate different substitutions and techniques for baking without eggs and dairy, so you will go away with the tools to adapt recipes and keep baking at home afterwards. Take home boxes of your baked treats to share with friends and family.
Dietary information: The menu for this class is vegan and contains nuts. can be adapted for gluten-free diets, this must be specified when booking.
