Vegetable Gardening for Beginners

RESCHEDULED: May 2, 5:30-6:30 pm

 

This one-hour crash course has been designed by two of Memphis Botanic Garden’s Horticulture staff as the perfect introduction to vegetable gardening. If you’ve ever wondered about growing your own food to supplement grocery store shopping or just want to start vegetable gardening as a hobby, this is the class for you! Our staff will take you outdoors to our Urban Home Garden and walk you through important topics such as soil conditions, watering, light requirements, and more. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. This talk will be canceled if raining.
