Vest Agder in the round with Onya Tolmasoff

Description

Class description: Paint Vest Agder design elements on a round item using JoSonja paint and mediums.  Students can use other paint, but should be able to independently adjust color and technique.  Will discuss JoSonja paint techniques and mediums (i.e. Kleister and Magic Mix etc).

 

Class level:  Beginning and Intermediate

 

Medium being used :  Acrylic painters only.  Oil painters who want to take this class must be proficient in adjusting all techniques to oils as instructor will not be answering oil technique questions in the event.

 

Surface: 10” Beaded Scoop Plate from Tim Montzka (https://montzkawoodworking.com/) or student choice from your woodenware stash

Instructor: Onya Tolmasoff

 

Instructor biography: Painting since 1983, which was 2 years after I found a Telemark Rosemaling piece in a boutique and wanted to learn to paint Rosemaling.  Have been teaching since 1985 and I am known as a stroke work artist painting a variety of styles. Active in SDP and have taken classes from JoSonja, Gary Albrecht, and other rosemaling Gold Medalists through the California Rosemaling Assn. conventions.

 

Location:  This is an online class hosted on Zoom.  All technical requirements needed to join the class are the responsibility of the student. RCC virtual classes will not be recorded. All classes are listed in the Central time zone.
