Vigil is the inaugural production of 8:20 Dance Company's Clockwork Series, featuring eight original works by guest choreographers inspired by a shared annual theme.
Following last season's Somna, an evening exploring dreams and the subconscious, Vigil asks what happens after we wake. As the dream dissolves, awareness begins. Through eight distinct choreographic voices, audiences are invited into moments of watchfulness, vulnerability, resilience, hope, and transformation—discovering what remains when imagination gives way to reality.
Together, these works form one collective experience, reminding us that awakening is more than opening our eyes. It is choosing to be fully present.
