Instructor biography: I immediately gravitated to the Viksdal style of Rosemaling after meeting Marit Eldal during the Vesterheim Folk Art Tour 2016. I have since traveled back to Norway several times and have studied with Marit Eldal on her farm. I am currently the Artist in Residence (2024) at Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum ending after I teach a 4 day class in Viksdalmaling in May 2026. History, symbolism, and tradition along with limited paint stroke selection makes Viksdal designing even more intriguing.  I live in South Carolina far away from other Rosemalers, but on-Line classes from many great sources have provided new friendships while continuing my rosemaling adventure as a rosemaler and as a teacher.

Location:  This is an online class hosted on Zoom.  All technical requirements needed to join the class are the responsibility of the student. RCC virtual classes will be recorded. All classes are listed in the Central time zone.
