What was more fun than characters crossing over shows on TGIF!? Just like Steve Urkel appearing on Full House, Fruity Cutie has entered the Vintage Hearts Universe!
Keeping with this summer's throwback theme, this cake was inspired by the playful memories of early 2000s girlhood! Think charm bracelets, sticker collections, glossy lip balm, flip phones, and afternoons spent wandering the mall with your friends.
You'll learn classic vintage style borders and decorate a heart-shaped cake covered with cute fruity icons, frilly borders, and layers of colorful piping.
This all-levels class is perfect for anyone looking to try out two techniques: Lambeth-style decorating & detail piping!
In this class, you will:
Master Finish Coat Frosting: You’ll start with a crumb coated cake and learn how to add a finish coat with smooth sides and crisp edges.
Learn Vintage Piping Techniques: Learn the classic piping techniques including shell borders and ruffles using our Vintage Style Piping Practice Sheet.
Practice Piping Icons: Practice your detail piping and learn how to pipe cute icons like cherries, strawberries, and flowers.
Design and Decorate Your Own Cake: Put it all together by designing and decorating your own 5" cake to take home. Follow the example exactly or get creative and make a design all your own! This class has a lot of flexibility to using the variety of colors we have available to make the cake of your own imagination!
