Description

Join the Celebration! I'm hosting a Zoom gathering to celebrate my new book "Source Work for Actors" and it's open to all! This pre-order and supporter party will include international guests, collaborators and friends of the project as well as many whose support has helped to bring the book to fruition. I'll tell stories about this legendary and inspiring actor, read passages from  Source Work for Actors: in Workshop with Zbigniew Cynkutis of Grotowski's Laboratory Theatre and give insight into the novel theatre practices we learned in this seminal 1984 workshop that even today influence my own life as well as my work as storyteller, theatre artist. Shared online for the first time will be rare audio files of Cynkutis speaking on art and process.  Special guest Richard Mennen—theatre director, actor, professor of theater, advocate for Grotowski's work in the US and Cynkutis' friend for many years will introduce the conversation. Many ways here to reconnect and revitalize your work and life with this enlivening practice.

Source Work for Actors is part of Seagull Press' prestigious "Enactments" series which features innovative books on theatre artists and their practices including additional books on process and practice based on Grotowski’s approach. "Enactments" is edited by Richard Schechner, Professor Emeritus of Performance Studies at Tisch School of the Arts, NYU, and Editor of The Drama Review

Don't forget! You must register for the Event to Receive the ZOOM Link!

You can pre-order your book today too- the Publisher began shipping on June 8th!

With good wishes and hoping you can join us...
