John Williams / Katie Grennan / Steve Morrow / Jeff Lindblade

The Steam Quartet is a powerful combo of the leading exponents of traditional Irish music from the international acoustic scene. Chicago artists John Williams, Katie Grennan, Steve Morrow and Jeff Lindblade have thrilled audiences from Shanghai to Chicago and from Paris to Pittsburgh. Concertina, fiddle, bodhran and guitar ignite to raise the rafters and warm the heart. Appearances on BBC, PBS, Dreamworks, Riverdance and with the Chieftains round out their various backgrounds and their versatility embraces dance, wit, and road-tested musical integrity.

Harvey Tillis, Photo Artist

As a freelance photographer, Mr. Tillis creates original photo art – fine art images – sold from his studio, his web site, http://harveytillisphotography.com, and through a few select online galleries. Commercially, Mr. Tillis shoots environmental portraits, photograph events, and develop documentary projects for a variety of nonprofits, corporate clients, and government agencies. He sees himself as a partner with clients, helping them to maximize the strategic power of pictures. His images are used for PR, communications, image building, income development, and marketing.

Rendezvous Arts

Our Story

In the spring of 2020, a group of artists came together to discuss the new reality of performing arts during the COVID-19 pandemic—and how they could share the joys of music, art and more with people in a time when they needed it most. Our vision: people from every community directly connected to the arts, their lives enriched by personal interaction with artists, musicians, and each other.

Rendezvous Arts brings music, art and people together to encourage conversations and connections that contribute to people’s lives. We host social, interactive performances that create an atmosphere of one-on-one engagement at the intersection of music and art. In returning to the symphony orchestra’s more intimate roots—chamber music—we share our insights with audiences, giving them an artist’s perspective into what they hear and see. We firmly believe in “something for everyone,” so we strive to provide unique, diverse experiences that help individuals build lifelong relationships with the arts.
