This November, PS21 is thrilled to bring together two acclaimed theater companies, Concrete Temple Theater (New York) and Black Hole Theater (Australia), for an intensive three-day puppet-making workshop.

In this workshop, you’ll have the chance to delve into a work of art, poetry, music, or text and examine your response. Then, assisted by three skilled theater-makers and puppeteers, you will each build and animate a puppet that expresses that response. It might be simple or complex. It could be a mirror image, an emotion, a contrasting thought. From basic materials, you’ll create striking images. A single puppet in space, or a scene. What is the image you want to convey? Abstract or real? We’ll respond to your curiosity with lots of skills. Find answers and have a lot of fun!
