Share Chickpea started roller skating in May 2020 to cope with the challenges of the pandemic. She is a SkateIA, RollRight, SafeSport certified instructor. She offers beginner, intermediate, and advanced group roller skate classes throughout the Portland Metro area; roller dance, footwork essentials, hills and hazards, and Roll Right learn-to-skate classes. Chickpea’s goals are to share the joy of skating, educate on the urban culture of skating, build the skater and instructor community, and to make skating accessible for all.
Description
We'll meet & greet, go over roles, logistics, expectations, eat some food, and be merry. Bringing food to share is requested and not required. It could be homemade or store/restaurant bought. This will be a celebration as much as an orientation. We'll record the orientation piece for those that cannot make it. I'll share the video and expect it to be viewed by May 1st. That will give almost 1 week to reach out to Tam or I with any questions. We want to support all of you as much as you are supporting us. Let's work together to make this event run efficiently and smoothly so everyone can have a great time creating lasting memories.
