Description

The Vintage Parlor Orchestra returns to Creston Brewery for two nights of classical music and brews! Since it's inception in October 2018, VPO has produced 17 programs around the West Michigan area by getting orchestral music out of the concert halls and into the community.

This program will be a battle of the beards! Collaborative pianist Audra Erb joins the orchestra for Cesar Franck's Symphonic Variations. Johannes Brahms' Serenade No. 1 in D major will finish the evening, summoning the full forces of your favorite brewery orchestra.
Grab a beer and experience classical music like never before! The night will feature a relaxed atmosphere, clapping between all movements, a chamber orchestra, and some seriously tasty Creston brews! We will also be engaging our audience in a game of Random Instrument Challenge! Instruments are courtesy of our sponsor, Meyer Music.

Doors open at 7:00pm | Music begins at 7:30pm

We highly recommend Creston Brewery's fantastic menu before the show in the main taproom! Arrive by 5:30 to give yourself enough time to order and eat. Food will not be served in the Golden Age during the concert.

Vintage Parlor Orchestra

The The Vintage Parlor Orchestra is a versatile and talented Grand Rapids based ensemble taking the masterpieces of the last few centuries out of the concert hall and into the community. We believe that classical music is for everywhere, and we accomplish this by squeezing chamber and orchestral repertoire into the breweries, nightclubs, movie theaters, art galleries, parks, garages, decks, and living rooms of West Michigan.

VPO collaborates with local artists, while giving paid performance and solo opportunities to local musicians. Due to the limitations caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic, each performance becomes an opportunity to activate an entire entertainment ecosystem. As a vehicle for exploration and experimentation, VPO is dedicated to rethinking the live classical music experience, cultivating musicians, expanding audiences, and redefining what it means to be an orchestra.
