The The Vintage Parlor Orchestra is a versatile and talented Grand Rapids based ensemble taking the masterpieces of the last few centuries out of the concert hall and into the community. We believe that classical music is for everywhere, and we accomplish this by squeezing chamber and orchestral repertoire into the breweries, nightclubs, movie theaters, art galleries, parks, garages, decks, and living rooms of West Michigan.
VPO collaborates with local artists, while giving paid performance and solo opportunities to local musicians. Due to the limitations caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic, each performance becomes an opportunity to activate an entire entertainment ecosystem. As a vehicle for exploration and experimentation, VPO is dedicated to rethinking the live classical music experience, cultivating musicians, expanding audiences, and redefining what it means to be an orchestra.
