Wabi Sabi Journaling Class Description
Discover the beauty of imperfection and the art of slowing down through Wabi Sabi Journaling. Rooted in the Japanese philosophy that celebrates simplicity, authenticity, and the natural passage of time, this class invites you to create a journal that reflects your unique personal journey.
During this relaxing and reflective workshop, you will learn techniques for combining textured layers, natural elements, and artistic expression to create pages that feel meaningful and organic. Your instructor will guide you through prompts and creative exercises that encourage letting go of perfection, embracing what feels true, and finding inspiration in the everyday.
We will explore:
The core principles of Wabi Sabi and how they apply to creative journaling
Methods for incorporating found objects, soft colors, and natural textures
Techniques for layering paper, ink, watercolor, fabric, and simple drawings
Ways to use journaling as a grounding, calming practice
How to create pages that feel beautifully imperfect, thoughtful, and expressive
No artistic experience is needed—this class is perfect for anyone who wants to slow down, reconnect with their creativity, and enjoy a peaceful, mindful art experience. All supplies are included, and each participant will leave with a journal that is uniquely their own.
