Description
We will start our tour with a stop at the dairy barn to watch the cows being milked and learn what makes raw milk and raw milk artisanal cheeses so special. From there, we’ll quick step through the flower and vegetable gardens where the best sugar snap peas in Colorado are grown. While we take a mile-long hike to the center of the ranch, we’ll discuss and explore the benefits of 21st century stewardship and regenerative agriculture for the biodiversity of both wildlife and livestock including the importance of soil to everything we do.. On our way back to the restaurant and market, let the questions fly! By the time we arrive the grill will be hot and ready for lunch.
Attendees must where sturdy walking shoes and be able to negotiate the uneven surfaces of gravel and rock roads. Sunscreen, water, a hat and comfortable clothes are strongly suggested. Bathroom facilities are available at the beginning and end of the tour but there are no facilities along the way.
