Watercolor for Everyone

Description

Watercolor is a common painting medium, but can be surprisingly difficult to learn on your own! Join watercolorist Max Mandell and learn some beautiful, simple techniques that you can use in your paintings. This monthly class held on 2nd Wednesdays, and each class focuses on different topics so you can continue to hone your craft! 

 

April 10: Six-Mix: Did you know that you need SIX primary colors to get the full spectrum in watercolor? It's true! Red, Blue, and Yellow all have warm and cool versions. Learn to make the most of these six colors and mix like a pro!

 

May 8: Saturation: Controlling the amount of water you have on your brush will help you paint with confidence! In this class, we will explore wet-into-wet, wet-on-dry, and dry-brushing. Take control of your watercolor practice and master H2O saturation!

 

June 12: Lifting: When it comes to watercolor, people rarely think of subtracting paint from their page. You can achieve fantastic results when you LIFT paint off the page. We will use paper towels, sponges, and specialized paint brushes to create stunning textures at every stage of painting!

 

All materials are provided for this class. This class is recommended for students 14 and up.
