This All Levels Handbuilding class is suitable for anyone over age 18 who is interested in learning the the many ways of working in clay without a pottery wheel.

Handbuilding, which includes slab building, coiling, and pinching, is a traditional method of creating with clay in which you use your hands and clay (flat, in round strips, or in a ball) instead of a potter's wheel.

Classes are every Wednesday from 6-8:30PM for 6 weeks. Includes 2.5 hours of hands-on instruction each week, use of community tools, clay, and 5 finished pieces each (1 per week).

About your teacher

Meg is excited to guide handbuilding students as they create functional pieces, no wheel necessary. She loves how working with clay turns off her chatty brain and taps into the elusive flow state.
