Description

Take part in celebrating the 175th birthday of the Weighlock Building, the last remaining structure from the Erie Canal system. The day will include the unveiling of the Museum’s refreshed brand identity, reflecting its forward-thinking vision while honoring its history.

The day's celebration will feature cake, prizes, and a canal-themed scavenger hunt. Visitors can also enjoy live performances of the Marsellus Family music box, dating back to 1866.

If you're not sure what to get us for our birthday, consider supporting the Erie Canal Museum’s matching grant challenge from the Pomeroy Foundation. With $7,000 raised so far, we need your help to unlock the remaining $13,000 to fund vital historical research.
