Description
We will have 50+ pieces of art collected from Black and Brown community members on the Westside. We will give an overview of the therapeutic effects of art and how that impacts communities that have been have experience trauma due to violence in their life. We will also be collecting short stories from our guest and painting their pictures live at our events throughout the summer (including the Urban Essentials location). We are taking this art exhibit to the most violent neighborhoods on the Westside and our "Collective Westside Stories" finale/reveal will be scheduled for October, 2025. Art is just one of the tools that we will use to help heal our community.
