Join us at the Whitney Library for “Orrcitechture,” celebrating the legacy of renowned architect and visionary, Douglas Orr, on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from noon to 4 p.m.  Get an exclusive glimpse into the architect's original architectural drawings and materials from his tenure as President of the American Institute of Architects. We’ll explore Orr’s monumental work at the White House and see firsthand the creativity and innovation that shaped an era of design. Presented in partnership with the New Haven Preservation Trust, “Orrcitechture” provides an extraordinary opportunity to connect with the history and impact of one of architecture’s great minds! 

The Whitney Library in the New Haven Museum is open to anyone interested in the past of the city of New Haven. With tens of thousands of documents, books, and archives, the Whitney Library is the most expansive collection of New Haven texts in the city.
