Guided by one of our expert team members, you’ll first explore what make whisky – from fermentation and distillation through to the science of maturation. Then, dive into whisky ageing 101, discovering how time, climate, wood, char, and cask history all shape a whisky’s character. You’ll also learn how our unique outback conditions play a role in whisky maturation, compared to traditional whisky producing regions. Along the way, enjoy four tastings – beginning with newmake whisky to experience the raw product, then working through several different cask finishes at various stages in their maturation – while developing the skills to recognise and describe flavour profiles like a professional.
