Description
Sunday, December 6 (7:30 p.m.) will be the annual Christmas Extravaganza, presented by the White River Chamber Orchestra. As always, this concert will include a wide variety of Christmas and winter songs with arrangements that date from the 1950’s to the present. This year will be the first year to include arrangements of Ralph Carmichael, well known for a wide variety of musical compositions for all genres and in all styles, composed over a 70-year span. There will be the world premiere of a new arrangement by Katherine Peters, along with the performance of Maestro Kunda’s novelty setting of The 12 Days of Christmas (which commemorates the 50th anniversary of its writing). Also included will be music of Percy Faith, David Clydesdale, and others.
