After a long-awaited COVID-hiatus, The Who Arted?! Series is BACCCKKKK!!!!

This series is made possible by three main features: 1. Visual artists, 2. Audible artists aka comedians, musicians, spoken word, etc!, and 3. MAKING art!

While you are listening and observing our featured artists, channel the inspiration and create some up-cycle art! We'll provide crafty odds and ends that would usually be thrown away, such as leftover Mardi Gras costume bits, those watercolors you never used, sequins, the recyclables NOLA no longer accepts, Trader Joe's paper bags, ((I know you have too many too)), the list goes on! Our featured artists for the evening include: 

  • MC & host: J.Mix, host of the Self-Aware Millennial podcast, a songwriter, and roller skater 
  • Visual artist: Slimm, a self-taught artist creating pieces that often resembles an abstracted corporeality
  • Comedian: Geneva Joy Hughes, who not only tells jokes but also is the owner of our popup!
  • Popup: Waist Love Waistbeads, featuring Geneva's authentic African waist beads 
  • Musicians: Burris, Mikayla Braun, and Dianella & the Arrows, all New Orleans' local bands, at least at one point, and you may just catch us singing harmonies on each others' sets

FAQ

  • The showtime listed for the event is the time the event starts. Doors will generally open an hour before the listed show time unless otherwise listed.
      We allow pets during the day, but not at night for music (anything after 7pm). Service animals are always allowed.
     
  •  Please do not park in the Broad Theater parking lot. We have a parking lot for  The Broadside and plenty street parking available on Toulouse and Lafitte. If you would like to be escorted to your car, please ask the Sheriff on duty. You may also park in the Auto Zone parking lot if they are closed. 
  •  We have a variety of seating options such as benches, picnic tables, chairs, and stools. You are welcome to bring your own chairs, if you require a seat for health reasons or disability, please ask a staff member and they can provide you with a chair.
