We at the museum work to preserve and present the rich history of the Attleboro area with an emphasis on its industrial history. We welcome visits by individuals and groups interested in exploring Attleboro’s industrial history. We are active in making historic presentations both at the museum and out in our community.
Description
Join us at the AAIM on Wednesday, August 13th from 6:15pm to 7:15pm for a read aloud of “Who Sank the Boat?” followed by a STEM activity geared toward younger children.
Can you build a boat out of everyday household materials? Your boat must be able to hold the cow, the donkey, the sheep, the pig AND the mouse. In this engineering challenge you will learn what objects float or sink, and which objects can hold up the weight of other objects. Through trial and error, you will have built and firm and buoyant boat.
This event is free. Registration is encouraged but not required. This event is intended for ages 3-5.
