She has been a regular presenter at Yoga Journal Live Events, is on the faculty at Esalen, and is the creator of the SaranaYoga program at Wilbur Hot Springs. She is committed to the practice of Dana, or giving back, and has most recently held a fundraiser for the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights in Oakland, CA and KHNS community radio in Haines, Alaska.

Sarana loves wild places and she lives and teaches in both California and Haines AK with her husband, the solo performer and filmmaker Aaron Davidman. During the Alaska summers, when the sun sets after 10 pm, she spends her long days hiking, picking berries, hunting mushrooms, and watching the tides change.
