Description

Fernandina Fossils will be participating in the Wild Amelia Nature Festival!  The event offers a variety of worthwhile and fun events introducing visitors to Amelia Island's diverse local ecosystems, the wonderful creatures that inhabit them, and the vital and urgent need to preserve them.

The festival kicks off with a series of eco-tours starting on May 9th.  The Fernandina Fossils team will be leading fossil-hunting tours daily from May 9 - 15 and will include identification and craft-making sessions back at Fern Foss on 508 Ash Street.  See Shark Teeth, Pectens & More Eco Tour Tickets for more details.

On Saturday, May 15th, we will have a booth at the eco-expo, featuring an exhibit of fossils, a hands-on fossil station, information about Amelia Island fossils, an opportunity to purchase local fossils, and activities for kids.
