Wild Card Christmas Carol
Imagine you are at an outdoor café, complete with a stage decked out with holiday cheer, while in-house waitstaff serves you festive festive food and drinks, And soon, you’ll be watching a performance of A Christmas Carol. 🎅 🎄 🎁 ✨
But this is no ordinary production of A Christmas Carol… It’s one that gets derailed by a deck of Cards Against Humanity™! 😱
And if you've ever played Cards Against Humanity™, you know the zany possibilities are endless.
YOU may even get the chance to:
- Disrupt the timeline by playing a card of your own—sending the spirits’ visitations in an unexpected direction.
- Alter the fate of Scrooge in real time as memory, choice, and consequence collide.
- Push Scrooge, the Ghosts, and the world around them completely off the rails (lovingly), one ringing church bell and clanking chain at a time. 🔔⛓️🎄
Join us for an interactive, darkly comedic, Halloween-season performance game show—definitely not for all ages—that’ll leave you howling with laughter and wondering what on earth you just witnessed.
This show will DEFINITELY contain adult language, themes, and context.

Who Are We?
Communication By Captivation (CBC) is an in-person and online community of multimedia artists—from cartoonists to live performers—working together to create deeply meaningful (and wildly entertaining) storytelling.
You may have seen some of CBC’s recent Austin theatre productions, including:
Frank’s Life, Glengarry Glen Ross, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, and last year’s Theater Against Humanity Series!
We welcome all who want to challenge themselves to captivate an audience’s heart and soul, collaborate on stories bigger than any one person, and—through it all—have fun.
CBC is fully self- and patron-funded and does not accept government grants.
