CBC returns with the same fan-favorite interactive experience, now reimagined under a brand-new name: Wild Card: The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Imagine yourself at an outdoor Kava Bar, complete with a stage designed to whisk you away down the Yellow Brick Road, while in-house waitstaff serves themed food and drinks inspired by Oz, Emerald City elegance, and a touch of Wicked flair.
And soon, you’ll be watching a live theatrical performance of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz 🌪️🌈
But this is no ordinary trip to Oz…
This show can, and will, be derailed by a deck of Cards Against Humanity™ 😱
Every performance is different, unpredictable, and gloriously unhinged.
If you’ve ever played Cards Against Humanity™, you already know the possibilities are endless.
YOU may even get the chance to:
- Derail the journey down the Yellow Brick Road by playing a card of your own
- Alter the fate of Oz in real time
- Push Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Lion, and the Wizard completely off the rails (lovingly)

Who Are We?
Communication By Captivation (CBC) is an in-person and online community of multimedia artists—from cartoonists to live performers—working together to create deeply meaningful (and wildly entertaining) storytelling.
You may have seen some of CBC’s recent Austin theatre productions, including:
Frank’s Life, Glengarry Glen Ross, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, and last year’s Theater Against Humanity Series!
We welcome all who want to challenge themselves to captivate an audience’s heart and soul, collaborate on stories bigger than any one person, and—through it all—have fun.
CBC is fully self- and patron-funded and does not accept government grants.
