Survival skills training serves as a powerful proving ground to test your limits in a controlled environment.

Survival skills are valuable on their own and make the perfect platform to encourage confidence and self-reliance all the while supporting teamwork, and forging bonds between participants.  

The course covers: 

  • Aiming. 
  • Situational awareness. 
  • Knife safety. 
  • Building a water filter from natural materials. `
  • Fire starting. 

Materials included in this course: A heavy-duty survival knife, Paracord and a flint striker for fire starting. 

We will celebrate your hard work at the end of Survival Training with a boxed, catered meal by the campfire with complimentary local beer and smores.  Please indicate your dietary preference by email:

About your instructor:  A life long survivalist, Soleado Lavender Farm founder Kevin spent his formative years hunting and tracking with his uncles, learning to read subtle signs in the environment around him to survive. He spent much of his adult life practicing and teaching survival skills to young people. 

 

Teens 16 and older may attend with an accompanying parent, one underage student per parent.   

Materials you will need to bring: a water bottle, hat, sun protection and rain jacket. Wear sturdy enclosed outdoor shoes, long pants even in hot weather and light weight long sleeves. NO SHORTS.  

Check the weather ahead of class time and dress accordingly.

Disclaimer: Please note there are inherent dangers in outdoor events and activities. Farms differ from parks in that they do not have the same level of maintenance and landscaping, and the terrain is more rugged. Soleado Lavender Farm, as well as event organizers along with their affiliates and volunteers cannot be held responsible for injury or other mishap associated with these activities.

No pets allowed.  Vaping, smoking and outside alcohol is prohibited.  

Weather policy:  Event to be held rain or shine. The event will only be canceled if there are unsafe weather conditions, in the event of “acts of god,” health or safety mandates or if the instructor or host is incapacitated.

Tickets are nonrefundable, if the event is canceled, you will receive store credit redeemable on future classes or farm products.
