Winter Weather Line
Reservations will be available from Friday, January 30, 2026 at 7pm until Monday, February 2, 2026 at 7am.
*NOTE: If you are staying in your home department instead of reserving a room, contact the weather line. We need to make sure that everyone is accounted for in the event of an emergency.

There will be two options for staff to select:
Option 1: for Reservations (Switchboard Operator) from 0600-2300
Option 2: for the Nursing Supervisor from 2300-0600
Room Reservations
Preparing for your room:
Linen carts will be outside of the Nursing Supervisor’s office.
Please take a linen bag which consists of a washcloth, towel, and sheets. *This linen bag will stay with you throughout your entire stay.*
There will be another linen cart available if you need any additional linen other than what you have been provided.
Meals will be available in the cafeteria for Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as breakfast and lunch on Sunday.
Arrive to your reserved room and be mindful of anyone that is staying with you. We are trying to pair employees that are working the same shifts and/or same departments & also by gender.
When vacating the room:
Place all linens in your linen bag.
If you are going home- drop your linen bag in the “Dirty Linen” cart in the 4N nurses station.
If you are planning to stay multiple days/nights- please take your linen bag and all personal belongings with you when reporting to your department.
Sanitize your mattress/cot before you leave your room. This is for any oncoming staff that will be utilizing the room from the opposing shift. Sanitizer wipes will be available in the 4N nurses station.
Things to bring with you:
• Pillow
• Extra blanket or sleeping bag
• Toiletries
• Shower Shoes
• Entertainment ideas (tv’s do not work in these rooms)
Employee Parking
IMH employees are asked to park in the parking deck beginning Friday, 1/30 at 1800 through Monday, 2/2 (Time TBD) for plowing and salting accessibility. If necessary, the first tier in the employee parking lot will be available. As always, the permit parking lot will be open for those with authorization. See map below.
Showers:
For anyone who does not have access to a shower the following designated areas are available:
• Men: Room 414
• Women: Room 418
Relaxation Area:
For those who may need a space to spend time and relax outside of their reservation hours there are two waiting areas with functioning televisions by the Heart and Vascular center on the second floor (close to the main elevator)
