Description
This training course provides wildlife carers with the essential knowledge required to deliver first aid and critical care for common wildlife species. The course will be presented by WIRES training specialist staff who will be travelling to SA.
The course provides wildlife carers with the essential knowledge of first aid techniques, including triage, physical examinations, and hydration methods, as well as the importance of pain relief medications and adjunctive pain relief for common injuries and illnesses in birds, possums, lizards, and turtles.
The course will also touch on euthanasia with specific attention to relevant legislation in South Australia.
NOTE: The course is recommended for carers of more than 1 year of rescue/care experience.
TICKET COST: Financial Members $25. Non-members $75. Children under 16 years free.
