Description

Join AAIM to celebrate International Women and Girls in Science Day! Countess Ada Lovelace is considered the first computer programmer. During this workshop we will recognize her achievements and contributions to the world of computer science. Countess Lovelace contributed to the creation of the Analytical Machine (1910), a mechanical digital computer for calculations.

We will work with Scratch to create our own calculation machine using its block type code. We will learn the basics of computer programming and how to put the pieces together to create a program.

This event is free but registration is required. This event is intended for ages 12 and up.
