Follow The Light: Stratford EP Release Show with Woody Woodburn Full Band
Friday, November 6, 2026
Doors 7 PM | Show 8 PM
Woody Woodburn brings the full band to The Bunker Performance Lounge & Cafe to celebrate the release of his new EP, Follow The Light. Josie Smith opens the night with a set of her own.
Woody Woodburn (Full Band)
Rooted in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and now based in southern Ontario, Woody Woodburn has been part of the Canadian music scene since the mid-1990s, when he was a member of the band Snapper. He launched his solo career in 2019 with the EP Better Man Today, followed by I Am Enough in 2021.
His new six-song EP, Follow The Light, was produced by Craig Smith (ONTARIANS, co-founder of Four Winds Festival), with drums and keyboards on most tracks from Tim Oxford and Anthony Carone of the Arkells. The first single, "Mario Lemieux," is a look back at Woody's origin story, including the hockey card he sold to buy his first guitar.
Of the title track, Woody says, "'Follow The Light' is about stumbling home from a bonfire at a buddy's place and getting lost—even though he lives on my street! That got me to contemplate whether I am just lost in general. The song's really about looking for signs and a light to follow."
On the direction of the new record, he says, "I think my writing has grown from self-improvement to self-understanding. It's progressed from wanting to be better to accepting who I am."
Josie Smith (Opening Set)
Josie Smith is 19 and lives outside Monkton. She is studying in the Music Industry Arts program at Fanshawe College and has been singing since she was 7 years old.
